A Journey Rooted in Education
Mr. Matundura is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Kiswahili Literature at the University of Nairobi. He is armed with a B.Ed. (Honors) from Moi University and an M.A. in Kiswahili from the University of Nairobi.
Professional Experience
Mr. Matundura started his professional journey in this field from his role as an Editorial Assistant at Target Publications Limited to his tenure as a Translator/Writer at Nation Media Group Limited. His stint as a News Editor (Translation) at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) further enriched his expertise in linguistic and literary realms. Since June 2012, Matundura has been an outstanding Lecturer in Swahili Literature and Linguistics at Chuka University, where he continues to inspire and mentor aspiring scholars.

In 2018, Awarded by Chuka University for my Exemplary Service to the University. 2011, he won The Wallah Bin Wallah Prize in recognition for his Contribution towards the Development of Kiswahili. 2009, Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature Award, 2nd Prize, Kiswahili Children Fiction Category with Sitaki Iwe Siri (2009). Nairobi: Longhorn Publishers. 2013 Jomo Kenyatta Prize for Literature Award Mention for his book Hazina ya Zuena na Makombo (KLB) among others.
