The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Chuka University offers a wide range of academic programmes developed to satisfy the academic and developmental needs of students. The courses offered are carefully developed to cater for student needs and in consideration of their application to the socio-cultural and economic needs of the country. This Faculty is committed to its role of providing academic and intellectual leadership in consolidating relevant and innovative knowledge for sustainable socio-cultural and economic development in the country. Currently, the Faculty is offering the following programmes
l. To oversee the implementation and conduct of Academic Programs within the Faculty.
2. To promote Arts and Humanities based education and training thmugh launching of new and unique programmes by use of alternative delivery methods.
3. To train and produce qualified graduates for the achievement of Vision 2030, SDGs and the BETA Agenda
4. To enhance the level of participation by students and staff in research, dissemination and preservation of knowledge for both academic and societal development.
5. To cultivate an enabling environment that nurtures and upholds excellence and high standards of professionalism in teaching, learning, research and community service.
6. To prepare students to gain intellectual professionalism and social characteristics that will enable them to become responsible leaders in the society.
7. To prepare students for further education, training, innovation and research in their areas of specializations.
