It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) at Chuka University. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a wide range of academic programmes which are reflective of our niche area which is Training and Research on Historical and Contemporary Human Behaviour and Interaction within Social, Cultural, Economic, Political and Environmental Contexts. Consequently, the Faculty brings together lecturers of various disciplines in liberal Sciences that include Criminology and Security Studies, Sociology, Economics, History, Geography, Linguistics, Literature, Kiswahili, Psychology, Community Development, Government and International Relations, Social Work, Project Planning and Management, Disaster Management, Information Science, Media and Communication, Religious Studies, and Philosophy. These diverse disciplines offer broad and remarkable opportunities for students to advance their knowledge and specialize in the fields of their choice.
